My Waffling
I like to reward myself with a Lisa Stone book, as you've probably noticed by now. I read this one in two days... I have to ration them, especially now as I've almost completed her thriller books.
DC Beth Mayes is back!! And she's saying weird things like 'Struth'? Never heard of it before this, had to google it and ask my boss, it's short for 'God's Truth', and used when something surprising / shocking happens. Anyways.
The real thing this fiction book is based off of is The Dark Web, which was only mentioned towards the end - but I do love how her books are based off of real things.
The main thing that annoyed me the most was the customers of Derek. The recurring theme is that they got broken into, so they contacted Derek to install CCTV. But when they get broken into again, they complained and kicked off to Derek? How is it his fault? I know it was for story progression, but it kept really annoying me. People probably act like this in real life anyways.
Good, easy, captivating read as always.
