Bloodhounds: Season two
Tiny Overview
Tiny Analysation
They went in a completely separate direction this series. The first season they were fighting loan sharks and now they are taking down underground fighting rings. This was definitely a better direction for the show to head in, but I don't regret the direction that the first season went in at all. It gave good background information and how strong the morals were for both Gun-Woo and Woo-Jin. The second series reinforced it. In the first one Gun-Woo's mother is scammed into taking a high interest loan as she needs money, and in the second one they are presented with all the money they could ever want as long as they sold their morals.
It ended interestingly, nice and open for them to be able to take it in any direction they want and I am so excited to see what happens next.
My Waffling
I watched the first season when it first came out in 2023, and did not rewatch it before I watched this. Big mistake. I was confused - but managed to remember the main premise for most of the show, but the big reveal of Lee Doo-Yeong being alive did not mean anything to me. I felt left out while the two main characters were crying and hugging him. Definitely a fault on my part. The fact that it is based off of a webtoon caught me off guard, but my hopes are high for a third season.
8.5/10
Some facts about the show
It was mostly filmed in Seoul, South Korea
Woo Do-Hwan, Lee sang-Yi, and Rain went through hard diets and training to make the fighting look real, but Woo Do-Hwan gained around 13kg of mainly muscle for the role
