Backstory

For one of my New Years Rezzies I have decided to read 26 books for 2026. So far, it's been going well, averaging three or so books a month.

I started reading in around December 2025, as I realised I couldn't think anymore. When I wanted to think of something it wouldn't come to me and I struggled to do anything. I would just scroll on my phone and flop about all day. So, I decided to delete all my social media's and then start reading. It was difficult at first, it really was. But then I could fill my time with reading and watching videos and other things. I started sewing, crocheting, etc, and slowly I felt better. By doing this I realised I liked doing things with my hands, even if I wasn't good at it. It didn't matter, as long as it kept my occupied and productive. I realised that my overall mood changed - which was the desired end product. However, in the lease dramatic way possible, my life changed as well. My perception of time shifted and days felt longer, it felt like I had been able to reclaim my time; things didn't feel as world-ending.

I started reading books in my Uni's small fiction library. And they were crap. I had the odd good book, but most of them were not worth my time. Then, I got a kindle and now I can read whenever wherever, as long as I have it and some light. So here's some book reviews. Everything is on Storygraph, so look there to see what's going on.

These are not really reviews!! Just me saying some things and not really discussing the plot yet kind of spoiling some. They are in chronological order of what I read, so I have gotten more used to reading, and writing each review as they go on. I hope that it doesn't feel jarring for you.

Be careful reading my paragraphs in case you want to read them - my review might have spoilers, and I have generally tried to avoid spoiling the plot in the overview part.
